After six long years, Kialla's Ryan Taylor will shave his dreadlocks, raising funds for the Peter Copulos Wellness Centre.

Shepparton’s Ryan Taylor has decided to change to the date of his big shave to avoid the predicted big heat.

Mr Taylor, 35, was due to shave his locks for breast cancer research on Sunday, but has postponed the shave to next Sunday, January 14.

‘‘The original forecast was 45°C for this Sunday, which has since been downgraded — but it’s still going to be pretty hot,’’ he said.

‘‘Hopefully it will be a better day next Sunday.’’

Mr Taylor, 35, decided to shave off his six-year growth of dreadlocks to raise funds for breast cancer research after his mother Jan Taylor was diagnosed last year.

The shave will take place on January 14 between noon and 1pm at the Peter Copulos Wellness Centre, Graham St, Shepparton with all funds raised going to oncology.
