Three teenagers allegedly connected to a spate of Mooroopna burglaries have been arrested, bringing the total number of arrests in the town this week to five.
‘‘We have recently charged three youth offenders,’’ Shepparton police Criminal Investigation Unit Acting Sergeant Cherrie McCaig said.
Acting Sgt McCaig said the teenagers, one aged 13 and two 14, allegedly stole a motor vehicle from Graham St in Shepparton that was later involved in a collision in Mooroopna in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
‘‘Further inquiries are being conducted in relation to that and we are still investigating further incidents so are appealing to the public for CCTV footage,’’ she said.
On Tuesday, two men aged 18 and 21 were also charged in relation to alleged aggravated burglaries in Mooroopna.
Properties on Craigmuir Dve, Morrell St, Paisley Cres, Stevens Cres and Broadbent Crt were targeted between the hours of midnight and 6am on December 30 and 31.
The three teenagers are due to face a children’s court.
