Performer back where it started

Tatura's home-grown pop star Anthony Lucas will perform at the Tatura community market late this month.

The Tatura community market is set to feature a home-grown talent this month.

Teenage pop singer Anthony Lucas was incredibly excited to put on a show in his home town, where he has not performed for some time.

Tatura Community House manager Leeane Button said the event was not to be missed.

‘‘The usual stalls will be in attendance and we will be offering family Christmas photos at the market,’’ she said.

Ms Button said there would also be coffee, food, face-painting, a jumping castle, children’s activities, Devonshire teas and a range of craft, design and produce stalls.

With Tatura’s two primary schools busily making decorations to put on Tatura Community House’s community Christmas tree, Ms Button said it would be on display at the market.

‘‘This month’s Tatura community market is going to have the best atmosphere yet,’’ Ms Button said.

‘‘Anthony has performed all over Australia as well as Los Angeles in the US and has sung and presented to thousands of people.’’

With Lucas due to release his music on Tuesday, the market performance is the perfect chance to get a sneak preview.

Lucas will perform from 9am on an outdoor stage and will also be holding a meet-and-greet as well as ‘‘taking plenty of selfies with the locals’’.

The Tatura community market will run from 9am to 1pm on November 25 at St Mary’s Hall, Hogan St, Tatura.
