Women were dressed to impress at the annual Soroptimist International of Shepparton Oaks Day lunch on Thursday.

A wide variety of stunning dresses matched with colourful fascinators could be spotted as women laughed and chatted the day away.

Soroptimist International of Shepparton has been holding the luncheon for the past 10 years and almost 200 enjoyed the chance to relax at the Sherbourne in Shepparton and try their luck on the races.

Soroptimist International of Shepparton president Jeanette Berry said the event continued to be popular with women loving the chance to dress-up.

Ms Berry said it was wonderful to have fashion parades included clothing and fascinators from Pampens Boutique in Mooroopna, Shop 221 in Shepparton and the Vintage Chic Boutique in Shepparton.

‘‘The ladies have seemed to like the fashions,’’ she said.

This year’s Oaks Day Luncheon helped raise money for an ice-cooling machine at Goulburn Valley Health.

‘‘The purpose of our club is to help women and children, which is what we’re always fundraising for,’’ Ms Berry said.
