A fire burning north-west of Euroa will likely burn for the next 48 hours, the fire brigade has said.
A CFA spokesperson said the fire, which started just after 4pm, began in a hay shed at Miepoll, but no cause has yet been determined.
The fire has caused extensive damage to the hayshed at the rural property.
Seven crews attended the rural property, just after Carters Rd on the Euroa-Shepparton Rd, and filled tankers from a nearby dam to dampen the fire.
The spokesperson said the fire was under control, but would most likely burn for the next 48 hours.
Although no cause has been determined, the CFA spokesperson said such fires can easily be caused by sparks from machinery and equipment, or embers from burn-offs or bushfires.
Residents are asked to be mindful of smoke in the area.
