Greater Shepparton City Council’s planning boss has parted ways with the council.
Council chief executive Peter Harriott yesterday confirmed now former sustainable development director Johann Rajaratnam was no longer with the council and thanked him for his service.
But the chief executive would not comment further on the exit.
Mr Harriott said the council was moving to fill the position, part of the five seat executive leadership team, set to be advertised ‘‘as soon as possible’’.
He expected contingency plans for the position would be put in place by the week’s end.
Mr Rajaratnam is the second person to leave a council executive role this year, after infrastructure director Steve Bowmaker’s departure was revealed in May.
