First time starters should thrill punters

Racing tonight kicks off with the Brian Beard Plumbing maiden over 450m and two very interesting runners are engaged, both first starters, Lethal Lomar and Gotta Be Better.

These two greyhounds are from strong kennels and strong breeding lines and you would not be surprised if one or both of these were future stars.

Race five is the CKH Painting Damsels Dash and Zoom Out looks a star in the making, winning last week in a flying 25.22.

Her only concern at present is she needs a bit of luck early as she is not the best of beginners, but once balanced she has explosive speed and could really go on with her career once she has had more racing.

Young trainer Rianna Groom has a great winning chance in race eight.

Groom’s chaser Arden Emgrand is well drawn in box seven and this chaser has run some very nice races in its career and Groom has her kennel going well at present.

Racing continues on Monday night, with an even 12 card and, after looking at the fields, it appears local trainers should dominate once again.

Hopefully they will pass on some tips to the Royals Cricket Club from Seymour, which is venturing down for a fundraiser night at the greyhounds.
