Tickets to the annual Lift Off education scholarship dinner are on sale.

Money raised at the dinner, which brings together supporters, funders, recipients and other stakeholders involved in the scholarships, will be put towards a general $5000 Lift Off scholarship.

The aim of the Lift Off Education Scholarships is to increase the number of students from the region who are able to pursue their dreams of post-secondary education.

This year, 27 scholarships with a value of $80000 were awarded to students facing some barrier to pursuing their education dream. The annual fundraising dinner will be on Tuesday, August 29, in Covers Restaurant at Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE’s Shepparton campus.

Guests will hear from a young person who is benefiting from a scholarship and scholarship partners will be recognised for their contribution.

‘‘The amazing generosity of these partners will open doors for many young people who would otherwise struggle to make the transition from secondary to post-secondary education,’’ The Community Fund chief executive Cheryl Hammer said.

Applications for next year’s scholarships open on Monday, September 11, and close on Monday, December 18.

Scholarship criteria and guidelines, as well as the official application form can be found on the scholarship page at

Tickets to the annual Lift Off education scholarship dinner are $75 per person and can be bought by phoning Andrea McNab on 58328223 or emailing [email protected]
