Shepparton Greyhound Club held its Group 2 CKH Painting Shepparton Gold Cup.

On Saturday, Shepparton Greyhound Club held its Group 2 CKH Painting Shepparton Gold Cup.

It was a terrific night of racing, with Zinzan Brooke winning the cup in a thrilling finish.

On Monday, the first race starts at 7.07pm. The locals have been cleaning up lately, winning about two-thirds of the races on these tier three meetings.

Emma Bowles has a great chance in race five with her chaser Scott Pizzazz.

Drawn in the one box, the chaser should get a nice run and on times appears to be extremely hard to beat.

Young trainer Joey La Rosa has a great chance of victory in the ninth on the card with his chaser Midnight Kebab.

This greyhound has good early pace and should be able to put himself in the race from the start and be awfully hard to beat.

The main dangers appear to be Wild Sticks for Vince Mileto and Lodges Express for Theo Van Taaring.

Great to see David Warburton win last start with his chaser Tat Duke.

Warburton has had fantastic success with his breeding in the past few years and Tat Duke’s litter has been a real credit to Warby, one of the most popular trainers in our industry, and this chaser will be very hard to beat in race eight.

Selections: Race one: 6, 4, 1; Race two: 8, 3, 1; Race three: 2, 3, 1; Race four: 1, 2, 8; Race five: 1, 2, 6; Race six: 3, 8, 6; Race seven: 2, 4, 5; Race eight: 1, 2, 5; Race nine: 7, 8, 2; Race 10: 7, 5, 1; Race 11: 3, 8, 1; Race 12: 1, 6, 8.
