Pizza with a Purpose: Shepparton Pizzas' Kruz Patel and Shepparton Salvation Army Corps officer Captain Karyn Wishart celebrate a partnership that will see 10 per cent of Shepparton Pizzas profits go to the Salvation Army programs.

Shepparton Pizzas is giving back to the community with its Pizza with a Purpose campaign.

The program sees the business give 10 per cent of profits to Shepparton Salvation Army.

The campaign will continue into next month and Shepparton Pizzas owner Kruz Patel is happy to extend it depending on the response.

Mr Patel said giving back to the community was part of his philosophy and in the past he had donated profits to the Cancer Council.

‘‘We have to be united and stand together in the community,’’ Mr Patel said.

‘‘It’s not all about becoming wealthy, you have to give back.’’

To promote the cause Mr Patel has printed up to 4000 Pizza With A Purpose vouchers, which offer people one free small pizza when they buy one large pizza.

Mr Patel has letter dropped 2000 vouchers and has teamed with Shepparton Gators Basketball Club to provide people with vouchers and was happy to reach out to other sporting clubs.

Shepparton Salvation Army Corps officer Captain Karyn Wishart appreciated the support from the business.

If any sports clubs or organisations are interested, they can phone Mr Patel on 58218100 or [email protected]
