Shepparton residents would have noticed the Goulburn River running higher than usual during the past couple of weeks as environmental flows take effect.
The river level is actually on the way down now after native plants and animal have had a good drink. The flow peaked about 9000 ML/ a day at Shepparton on July 2.
Flow will return to normal base flow levels (800-900 ML/d) by the end of the month. Find out more about why and when water levels are increased in tomorrow’s News.
