Children and teenagers paraded both contemporary and traditional fashion at Shepparton Ethnic Council’s fashion show at the African house on Saturday.
The show was started by the council’s community development officer Thon Thon three years ago. However, the task of organising has gradually been passed on to younger members of the community.
Males and females from ages two to 21 took part in the exciting day, walking down a red runway to applause from the audience.
Miss Australia International 2017 Alice Su, a guest judge at the event, spoke about her role of breaking stereotypes for those entering in pageantry.
Miss Junior Diamond Australia 2017 Kyla Brack was another ambassador at the fun event.
The event also provided an opportunity for aspiring rappers to perform.
