After numerous calls to “000” from concerned members of the public, the Shepparton Highway Patrol intercepted a 29 year old Numurkah man traveling from Shepparton to Numurkah.
As a result of the intercept the man had his car impounded for 30 days after being caught drink driving at nearly five times over the legal limit.
The driver returned a positive blood alcohol content reading of 0.248.
The Numurkah man’s licence was immediately suspended, car impounded and charged on summons for driving offences.
A great effort by the community, who helped to get a drunk driver off the road.
