Tatura’s Victory Hall bustled with people admiring fine art on display on the long weekend.

More than 1000 visitors attended the annual Tatura Rotary and Community Art Show, with works also for sale.

The exhibition opened on Friday with guests enjoying the singing voice of Rachael Howard and the musical talents of pianist Wade Gregory.

Art show co-ordinator Rhonda Rose said it had been a fantastic weekend and organisers were pleased with the numbers attending.

‘‘The Tatura Rotary Art Show is a fantastic community project where both emerging and established artists can exhibit,’’ she said.

‘‘Everything displayed here has been for sale.

‘‘The art sales have been up on last year, which is fantastic.’’

Celebrating its 11th year, this year’s show featured guest artist Michelle Harpley from Griffith and the lucky raffle winner was awarded one of Ms Harpley’s paintings.

The piece depicted an Australian bush scene of a rusted old ute sitting in a paddock.

Artist Lynton Allan attended the opening and, on Saturday, he demonstrated his pastel drawing skills.

An in-house cafe ran throughout the weekend which Ms Rose said was well attended.
