GV Health Extended Care Auxiliary secretary Lolene James, president Heather Lloyd and treasurer Margaret Thompson enjoyed the afternoon tea.

Grutzner House and the Mary Coram wing of Goulburn Valley Health were the beneficiaries of a fundraiser held last week.

GV Health Extended Care Auxiliary hosted a movie day at Village Cinemas in Shepparton for 150 people to watch Hidden Figures.

Auxiliary member Madge Merrylees said each person paid $20 to attend the fundraiser, which included an afternoon tea.

They also had the option to purchase raffle tickets to increase the fundraising tally.

‘‘We don’t have a fundraising goal but with everyone who comes we’ll try for as much as we can,’’ Mrs Merrylees said.

The money raised will go towards purchasing a variety of items for the wings, including a $6000 ‘‘get up and go’’ machine for the Mary Coram rehabilitation unit.

Auxiliary president Heather Lloyd thanked everyone in attendance for their support.
