Tyre slashing spree in Numurkah

More than a dozen vehicles had their tyres slashed during an apparent spree in Numurkah in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police are investigating after the incidents that are believed to have occurred between 1.30am and 3.30am.

Numurkah police Sergeant Tim Gleeson said nine vehicles that were parked at the El Toro Motel in Melville St were reported to have their tyres slashed.

At least two vehicles in nearby Quinn St sustained similar damage.

Sgt Gleeson said a number of vehicles parked at the Telegraph Hotel car park had also had their tyres slashed.
