Gallery: Classic car auction

The bidding was on and the hammer was hot at Shepparton Motor Museum's very first classic car auction on Saturday. 

More than 2000 people attended the auction, with the highest selling vehicle, a 1971 Falcon GTHO Phase 3, sold for half a million dollars. 

Lot 29, a 1996 Chevro9let El Camino, was up for the taking. Volunteers helped push the vehicles, including Lot 26, a 1967 Chevrolet, in and out of the museum for bidding. Lloys Classic Car Auctions hosted the event. Lot 19, a 1911 Armstrong Whitworth. Spectators and bidders alike kept an eye on the program. More than 2000 people attended the auction at the motor museum. Spectators were reduced to standing room. Lot 27 was a 1928 Chrysler Royal Sedan. Hundreds of people watched as Lot 30, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air went under the hammer.
