Shop workers are used to people losing things in their stores, but something that was lost on the floor of Telstra’s Maude St Mall store had staff scratching their heads.
Tara Carbis said staff uncovered an old photograph on the floor of their store, from before the days of digital, or even colour photography.
The old photo was stored in a plastic sleeve and shows three young children in what looks like a suburban backyard.
The badly damaged photo was in a protective plastic cover and has a few first names scribbled on the back and appeared to be at least 50 years old.
‘‘It looks like it’s of interest to someone,’’ Mrs Carbis said.
‘‘If someone could claim it, we would love to send it off to them.’’
She said lost property was a common problem at the store, but people tended to misplace ‘‘the odd phone case or glasses or keys’’.
‘‘It’s not usually something of sentimental value,’’ she said.
If you know who owns the photo, phone the store on 58207000.
