Kyabram continues to set the pace in the Goulburn Valley Bowls division four competition after a hard-fought away win at Shepparton Park on Saturday.
The league leaders sit 11 points clear of nearest challenger Euroa following a gritty 14-82 to 4-79 result on the carpet at Kialla.
Brian Lindsay edged out Keith Dudley 25-17 and Theo Van Geldere accounted for Frank Winter by three shots to ensure Kyabram left with the lion’s share of points.
Bob Kleinitz and Alan Cameron were the winning skips for a Park side that played better than its ladder position of sixth suggests.
Other division four winners were Rushworth, Mooroopna Golf and Euroa.
Division one featured three lopsided margins and a one-shot thriller, played between Mooroopna and Euroa.
The scoreline at the final end was 93-92 in favour of Euroa, ensuring it remained in top spot, while Mooroopna dropped from second to third.
Seymour climbed into second by virtue of a 64-shot win away at Kyabram, while Tatura downed Rushworth 18-118 to 0-70 and Shepparton Golf proved too strong for Shepparton Park at Kialla.
Division two winners were Shepparton Park, Hill Top, East Shepparton and Tallygaroopna.
Dookie cut the gap at the top of the division three ladder to one point after an impressive 14-107 to 4-89 away win at Seymour VRI.
East Shepparton, Hill Top and Shepparton Park also enjoyed wins on Saturday.
The division five winners list featured Mooroopna, Nagambie, Seymour and Shepparton RSL, while Tatura and Dookie were triumphant in division six.
