Brian Hine has been appointed the new chair of the Game Management Authority.
Agriculture Minister Jaala Pulford announced the appointment.
Mr Hine brings more than 35 years of experience to the role, working in areas such as land management, health and human services, local government and emergency services.
The GMA works with the community as an effective, independent regulator and as a facilitator of sustainable game management and quality hunting opportunities for future generations.
Recreational hunting is a popular activity in Victoria, with more than 50000 recreational hunters generating an estimated $439million each year in local economies, supporting almost 3500 full-time jobs in Victoria.
