A wander down Shepparton’s High St could land you in a Christmas wonderland complete with glorious trees, reindeer, Santa Claus, lights, a nativity scene and much more.
Sabac on High owner Chris Wilcox said the store’s annual Christmas window display drew crowds every year.
‘‘People drive past and see the lights at night and then come in the following morning,’’ she said.
‘‘People come back every year; we get people from out of town.
‘‘We’ve had people tell us it’s just as good, if not better, than the Christmas window displays in the city.’’
Ms Wilcox said the venture started thanks to the store’s manager Tracey Heyword — a self-confessed ‘‘Christmas tragic’’.
‘‘We’ve had such a great response and it has really grown because of the response,’’ she said.
Ms Wilcox said the decorations took about a week to set up and usually appeared in store at the end of September.
‘‘We have children that come in and get their photo on the sleigh,’’ she said.
‘‘We love it when they come in and we encourage anyone who would like to come along to do so.’’
She said the decorations were sourced from a variety of places and this year Ms Wilcox said she loved the reindeer.
The display is at Sabac on High at 167-171 High St, Shepparton.
