Are you aged under 25, love being involved with the community, organising events and engaging with young people?

If so, Word and Mouth Youth Committee may be for you.

The youth organisation is looking for new members to join their team and get involved in annual community events.

The committee is targeting people aged 12-25 who are looking to organise events for younger community members.

This year’s events have included the Zombie Maze, Nerdmania, Live at the Park and Battle of the Bands.

Word and Mouth project manager Jim Gow said this can appeal to a range of young people — those having a gap year or wanting to help shape their community.

‘‘The gap where a person has outgrown childhood, yet doesn’t yet qualify for adulthood. Well, we are the people that live in this gap. Everything we do is for those that live in this gap,’’ he said.

The volunteer program will only take up one day a week for two hours.

If you wish to apply or need information you can email [email protected] or send a letter to 53 Welsford St, Shepparton.
