November 26, 2016

Rennie time: Ovens and Murray legend Craig Ednie, pictured here in 2007, will coach Rennie for the first time on April 8 next year against reigning premier Shepparton East.

Waaia and Katunga will open the Picola District Football League south-east season next year.

The Bombers are set to play host to the Swans in a standalone clash on April 1.

On the same day in the north-west competition, Picola United opens its premiership defence in a grand final re-match with Strathmerton at Picola.

The first full complement of matches will be played on April 8.

Former Richmond player and Yarrawonga champion Craig Ednie’s first game in charge of Rennie is a home clash against defending premier Shepparton East.

The south-east grand final re-match between Tungamah and Shepparton East will be held on June 10.

Both divisions will be again 18 round seasons before the finals series.

The south-east grand final is going to be at Katandra on September 16, with Blighty announced as the venue for the north-west decider on September 9.
