NSW Environmental Protection Authority investigators were on the hunt for offensive odours in the Windsor and Mulgrave area in July when they caught a whiff of Elf Farm Supplies’ compost production, a pong that was recognisable to officers who had attended the Mulgrave site previously.

The officers located the source of the stink in the bale wetting area of the facility and issued a fine to the facility, which will now undergo significant upgrades to meet the regulator’s standards.
